It's about that time; time to revamp my portfolio. I started this shoot with no idea of what I wanted, or the direction I wanted to go. My first couple of frames were horrible, and I wasn't feeling it. But then the model (Rebecca) found this vintage apron and it created the theme for the entire shoot. I played around a lot with the ios level, and exposure. Some of the photos are more exposed than others, adding a vintage / 50s polaroid look.
Thanks a lot Rebecca for being my beautiful muse.
I finally got the chance to shoot my beautiful friend Bobae! This shoot was so spontaneous, and very in the moment. After slaving on the sales floor for American Apparel, we ventured into this underground basement situation. The perfect decor for this look; random graffiti and grids. Muggy and hot describes just how we felt while in this basement situation. I didn't want Bobae melting so I literally captured these shots within 15 mins.
Submitting a couple of these to fashion magazines here in New York (fingers crossed).
Had the awesome opportunity of worker with model Marc Whaley right before Thanksgiving. I was so honored when I was contacted to shoot him. Along side an another great photographer Marquis, we both collaborated on ideas, and these are the results. It was 13 degrees and snowing when we shoot these photos. Not to mention that our fingers froze and we had to find shutler to warm ourselves. Marc was drenched by the end of this shoot, but nevertheless I captured some lookbook worthy photos.
It's finally here! YetClothes fall/winter lookbook, shot by yours truly. This opportunity literally fell into my hands, and I gladly took it. It was really cold during this shoot. As the sun began to set, the temperature rapidly dropped. The two Austrian models (the girl, and long hair guy) were frozen, while the British model was in his zone (short hair guy). Once the shoot was over we got some ink at a local tattoo parlor (not me of course).
If you haven't been keeping up with this years fashion week, I've got you covered. It's been a hectic couple of days here at The Lincoln Center. I've meet tons of awesome photographers, as well as a few celebrities.
Here are a few photos that of some of my favorite moments.
My first time at Fashion Week, and I'm blown away by the fashion. While mingling outside The Lincoln Center, I spotted these amazing looks. Dressed for fashion week, these guys made a statement with black. Loving the wide brim hat this lady is wearing, it adds a classy touch to her look. Let's not forget about her pop of color (red heels), such a perfect combination. Check the guy's look out. Urban wear meets couture, and I love. I would totally wear his entire look, but with creepers instead of tennis shoes. Just three more days left of NYFW2014
Have a great day you guys :)
Spotted these dudes while shopping at Vert & Vogue yesterday. Their eclectic styles caught my eye, somewhere on Brightleft. I always try to stay hidden while shooting street styles, but these two took advantage of the paparazzi. Giving me pose after pose, these guys were naturals. These guys definitely have their own sense of style. Joggers underneath the shorts; good look. Ozzy shades and gold chains, we're back in the 80s with this look. Oh yea, let's not forget about that vintage Mickey hooky jersey (which I'm in love with).
Unlike normal people who crave coffee, I crave milkshakes. After grabbing my morning pick me up, I spotted this young lady on Main Street. I'm not a huge fan of jumpsuits, but there's something about this look that attracted my eye. Maybe it's the leopard booties, or her sandy hair color. Check out the splash of color on the lip. This color compliments her skin tone very well.
I love seeing a women that walks with confidence, and this woman did just that.
This hipster caught my eye somewhere on Corcoran Street, near The Cupcake Bar. I spotted her from a distance as she played with a pair of panty hose that were lying in the street. A crop top and and buzz cut complimented every aspect of this urban goddess. I'm sure this girl is an Urban Outfitters model. She's also rocking some sliver jewelry, which is a favorite of mine, and a metallic nail. Hope you all like her style as much as I do, but something tells me that she doesn't care what you think.
"It's my BIRTHDAY!" - Michelle
Somewhere on Main Street, I spotted this hip look. The first thing I noticed was her AMAZING shirt. I love, love, love Despicable Me! This young lady is wearing one of my favorite combos. A over sized tee, denim shorts, and booties. Accessorizing with a pair of Ozzy shades and a red lip. This look is simply yet urban.
"This over sized tee will keep me cool in this summer heat." - Brionna
Somewhere between Roney and Hunt St, I spotted this all white look. This guy owned it like no other. All white dripping with gold accessories, topped with a black saddle hat.
Hmmm . . . I wonder where he got his hat from? I've been searching for one like it, but can't seem to find one.
Conversation struck between my model and a fellow street walker. What could they have been talking about?
Must have been the white pants.
Good friends don't last forever, but a brotherly bond can't be broken. I've always wanted an older brother, or someone I could look up too. Jesse and I literally spend every second together. Being that we're polar opposites when it comes to fashion, we compliment each other so well. Take our business casual looks for example. Deep burgundy and navy blue never looked this good together.
By the way my navy suit is over 30 years old. It's another gift from my uncle. He sends me all these vintage pieces, and I just alter them to my liking.
Which look would you prefer? The burgundy suit, or the navy suit?

So why not walk instead? Since I have moved into an apartment MUCH closer to my job, I'm able to walk to work! Which means that I can stop and smell the roses. I even saw some on this guy's shirt! With the sun shining bright, this stylish jay walker stayed cool with a bottled water complete with a bendy straw!! He had a bendy straw you guys! I don't know where he was going but his accessories were too cool for me to care.
